Why the bill goes up
Drying uses several air movers and at least one dehumidifier running 24 hours a day, often for several days, on your home’s power.
How much it might add
It depends on how many machines run and for how long. Your next bill will show it; compare it with the same month last year.
Keeping track for your claim
Keep your electric bills from before and after the drying. Our drying records list which equipment ran in your home and for how long.
Asking about reimbursement
Some policies reimburse the added electricity as part of the claim. Your adjuster can tell you whether yours does and what they need.

Please leave it running
Turning machines off to save power slows drying and can leave materials wet longer. Call us if the noise or heat is a problem.
We check moisture readings on each visit, and the equipment comes out as soon as the readings show your home is dry. Read about structural drying.
