Why insurers recommend companies
Many carriers work with networks of preferred contractors. The program sets pricing and paperwork rules between the carrier and the company.
A recommended company can be a fine choice. It’s just not your only one.
Your choice of company
You can generally choose who works on your home. Check your policy and talk with your adjuster if you’re unsure how your carrier handles it.
What to ask any restoration company
Ask whether they answer 24/7, whether their technicians are IICRC-certified, how they document the job, and who you’ll talk to while it’s underway.
It’s also fair to ask whether you’ll be dealing with a local company or a call center, and how they explain what needs to come out and why.
What changes if you choose your own
Your carrier still reviews the estimate and decides coverage. The company you choose documents the loss and works with your adjuster.

Don’t wait to decide
Water keeps spreading while you compare options. Many policies ask you to prevent further damage, so get the water out promptly.
If water is still coming in, shut off your main valve and call us at (405) 519-3568. You can sort out the rest once the water is stopped.
